Meet Our Team
Alissa Mathieu, RD LD recently returned to Maine after completing her dietetic internship at the University of Kentucky Hospital and VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Maine in 2021 after earning a Bachelor of Science in food science and human nutrition. Her goal is to provide a creative, innovative, and patient-centered approach for those seeking medical nutrition therapy in the outpatient setting. She is specializing in pediatrics and seeing patients with eating disorders, in addition to any other referrals.
Katelyn DeRaps, MS RD LD, has been a registered dietitian at Southern Maine Health Care since 2020. Katelyn has a background in clinical nutrition working both as an inpatient and outpatient dietitian. Katelyn received her Bachelor of Science in medical biology at the University of New England and completed her dietetic internship and master’s degree in human nutrition at the University of Maine. Katelyn has worked individually with patients with a variety of health conditions. With an interest in oncology, Katelyn is also a member of the SMHC Cancer Committee.
